FAQs

  • Is hypnosis safe?
Hypnosis is a completely safe and non-intrusive form of therapy where the client is always in control. You will not speak or perform actions that are against your own best interests. It is a very light state of trance that is similar to daydreaming, characterized by a much more focused state of attention. Hypnosis is non-invasive and has no side effects. Most people undergo self-hypnosis many times per day while driving, reading a book or watching a movie, where they are completely aware of everything that is happening around them, but all of the distractions are tuned out to the background.
  • How does it feel to be under hypnosis?
Hypnosis does not entail falling asleep. You will be consciously aware of everything around you. Every person’s experience is different. It can be auditory (as if listening), visual (as if seeing) or kinesthetic (as if feeling sensations). Upon awakening you may remember everything or only certain parts of the session. It is similar to waking up after seeing a dream and its vividness fading away as a result. I will provide you with a video or audio recording of the session (induction will not be recorded). It is very beneficial to re-watch the session to revisit and reflect on the insights and wisdom provided by your own subconscious.
  • What is the best way to approach my hypnosis session?
You should attempt to approach the session with an open mind, with the curiosity of a child, and with zero expectations. Much like anything else, as soon as you remove any preconceptions from a pending experience, it may have the opportunity to pleasantly surprise you as it unfolds.
  • Will I involuntary share my private information under hypnosis?
No. You are in complete control during the whole hypnosis process. You can share what you want to share. A session is not about uncovering any dark secrets, although it is a very private experience. But keep in mind that effectiveness of the session depends on defining the problem, symptom first, than finding resolution.
  • What if I don’t believe in past lives or reincarnation?
It is only a matter of how you want to define it. Your soul (or Higher Self, subconscious mind) does not recognize “programmed belief systems”. It navigates the experience that is most appropriate to solve the problem at hand. The experience could be an event or memory in this life (childhood, for example), or it could take you somewhere else entirely—it does not matter if you define this experience as a “past life”, your imagination creating a kind of story or analogy, or if you define it as reliving an actual event. What is important is that it is in your subconscious mind for a reason. Therefore, it will help you to obtain the answers and insights into questions that you may have. Your subconscious/higher self is the source of all knowledge.
  • What is the Higher Self?
Some call it over-soul or super-conscious. The Higher Self is your Soul counterpart that doesn’t embody itself when you are born into physical body. It is that all knowing essence of you with immense resource of wisdom, intellectual insight and knowing what can bring real meaning, fulfillment and purpose into your life. Your Higher Self can answer any questions that you may have. It knows everything there is to know about you and the life you are living now. It may provide a greater understanding in many different aspects of your life. Not everyone contacts the Higher Self during the session, as everyone session is different. In Introspective Hypnosis the focus of the session is to address the pressing issues in your life, but sometimes the Higher Self will speak through you if it is appropriate at the time.
  • How can a past life regression be beneficial to me?
It could explain pressing issues in your life and help to find a possible solution for those issues. An unexplained or overwhelming fear or emotion could be caused by an experience in your past life. Your experiences in a past life could also determine why you could have difficulty in your relationships, and those answers could help you find some kind of resolution to those relationships. Past life regressions can also determine the reasons you may have for feeling a certain way towards people, places, or objects. Additionally, physical ailments and issues that you may be experiencing now could also be caused by some kind of traumatic experience in the past, which could be possibly relieved by a regression. A past life regression could help you find relief from psychosomatic ailments by treating them at the source. A past life regression will certainly give you a clearer understanding of yourself and your place in the universe.
  • What is Reiki?
Reiki is the energy healing modality. The word Reiki means “Universal Life Energy”. Sometimes I implement this modality during the Introspective Hypnosis session when it is needed. I always do a Reiki session before I meet with a client to set an intention that everything in a session works out for a higher good and to hold a safe and compassionate place during the session.
  • How long the session is and what will it include?
An introspective hypnosis session could last up to approximately three hours. Please find a comfortable place without any distractions. The session consists of a few parts: first we talk to get to know each other, outlining important goals that must be set for the session. After the trance is lifted, there will be a short after-talk where we will reflect on the experience.
